Self-Mastery - Going Beyond Success Testimonial

Twelve years ago, I left the corporate world and became a consultant. That is sometimes a euphemism for “unemployed”. Since then, I have worked in a number of different capacities, but never felt trust in my financial security. There was always food in the fridge and a roof over my head, but always an insidious, sneaking fear of future hardship. That changed when I learned about self-mastery, and how to tap into gifts I did not know I had. I’ve accomplished a great deal since I first met Patricia Wall, but three things stand out.

First and foremost: I always felt a nagging awareness I was to be doing something with my life…but I couldn’t quite figure out what that was. I have always been in sales, in one capacity or another. I am good with people, and I have some pretty good career accomplishments, but never seemed to rise above a particular level. Why was it that I felt I was living a Wal-Mart life with Holt Renfrew tastes? Meeting Trish put an entirely new perspective on my life. She gently told me that I had “healer energy” and that she would be happy to teach me what that meant. Funny, when she said that, although I really didn’t understand it, it resonated deeply as true. Learning the truth of me has been learning self-mastery.

My husband and I went to Trish’s relationship workshop three years ago. So here’s the second thing: while we had a good relationship I knew it could be so much better; I was following a “spiritual” path of some description and so I knew that our personal, business, spiritual and emotional lives could be ‘great.’ I could maybe imagine what that would be like, but getting there – not me, my life was full of great dreams but never quite getting there. Something was missing. That feeling of “peace”, “I’m OK” “I’m great” “I’m living my life purpose.”

Despite the face of success and accomplishment the world saw, I felt I never quite made the mark. How would we create a future that was alive, exciting, all that we wanted and more if I was always falling just a little short, no matter what I took on?

Learning self-mastery gave me tools to access the future I was wanting. There are lots of “self help” books and programs out there, and many have great value. I found learning the tools that Trish taught and applying them proved to be sustainable. Not just feeling good for a week or so, but on going. Truly mastering myself, taking responsibility for the world I create, for the life I live. Being free of limiting beliefs, living my life by choice – mine, not someone else’s. And there’s still lots of work to do, but now every day is a joy. (I can shop at Wal-Mart or Holt Renfrew – it’s all a choice. An accessible, achievable, real choice.)

Fast forward – 3 years – today, my relationship with my husband is great. I’m back in communication with my family, and I’ve grown spiritually in very surprising ways. And now… the third thing. It’s all very well and good to have a great personal life, but I also have a career.

I applied what I learned to my career to produce business results that are unexpected and surpass anything I believed possible. I’m in the financial services field, and frankly surprised to be there. Turns out, I like it. Turns out, I’m good at it. I have a natural gift for helping people heal their finances, which gives my clients new happiness and freedom. And this year my results are double what they were last year, and may very well triple. I have great clients, I’m getting consistent referrals, and it’s all happening in fewer hours – more time for the other areas of my life.

The tools and methods that I use in my life, every day, have come from working with Trish. Each day brings new challenges, new joys, and always new choices. Self-mastery has given me the freedom to choose how my life will be moment by moment. And I’m lovin’ it. MF

The Self-Mastery skills I've learned from Patricia Wall through her workshops have helped me to become more effective at my job and produce better results.  With these skills and a deeper understanding of myself, limits I’ve previously had are no longer limits. I am able to apply my strengths and skills to new projects, which in turn develop new strengths and skills, and broaden the scope of my future projects.

By understanding myself better, I more effectively understand co-workers and their motivations, which gives me the ability to facilitate solutions and achieve agreement more efficiently.   I’ve gained the skills to build more productive and satisfying relationships with co-workers and bosses, which I find generally improves the quality of my workplace.

Under pressure, such as during “crunch time,” I can retain more clarity, so that I am able to apply my efforts constructively and appropriately and meet the end goal with less stress on myself.  Remaining calm under pressure, has a positive effect on co-workers around me and I find it improves their stress levels.

Overall, with these Self-Mastery skills, I find more enjoyment from the existing challenges of my work, and I am better equipped to take on new challenges.  I feel more confident, and regularly receive positive feedback about performance and effectiveness. M P

I have worked with many types of people.  One example I can think of recently:

My supervisor is having a bad day and is not coping well.  I can tell because she is swearing loudly in her office and has no patience with anyone who approaches her.  I am normally affected by the people around me and find her to be disturbing because her office is next to mine.  I apply the tools I have learned. I find she calms down, as do I, and later apologizes for her behaviour.

Every morning as I drive the 417 at rush hour I use tools to make myself calm and big on the road. It is like the parting of the sea as I drive down the highway with a cushion of space around my car.

I have also had the experience of being bullied.  Nothing I did was right and when it was right my boss never gave me credit.  I was about to take it to a grievance board when I realized the whole thing was taking it's toll on me.  I was a wreck.  I stopped the grievance.
I used my tools to change the dynamic.  My troubles were over.

With this work that I have changed every area of my life for the better.  thanks. A C

In Feb 2006,  I attended a 2 day workshop on "Becoming a Naturally Slim
Person
" and began working with Trish on a regular basis.   After the
workshop it became apparent to me that the principles and concepts learned
could be easily applied in every area of my life - even the work place.
Although I felt accomplished in my career,  I observed that I was regularly
feeling fatigued by the mere idea of work. The daily negative client
interactions and unreasonable demands from management were wearing me down.
There was this overwhelming sense that "there has got to be more to life". I
believed that work had to be hard,  that success came at a high price (i.e
no time for one's self,  sacrifice of personal relationships and goals).
Moreover, that I was probably going to have to put up with a lot more stress
if I planned to advance my career further.

The concepts that Patricia Wall teaches are simple but all encompassing.
They allow you to move mountains... Following the workshop in Feb 2006, I
began to apply in the workplace what I learned on unrelated topics and there
were immediate positive and lasting results.  As I gained an understanding
of primitive tribal programs and how my subconscious was influencing mine
and others behaviours I began to see how my decisions were not aligned with
the outcomes I wanted. By applying the principles and simple tools that
Patricia Wall teaches,  I was able to understand and evolve to such a degree
that every interaction at work was measurably improved. Relationships with
co-workers, clients and management were effortless, I was taking in new
concepts with ease and coming up with creative solutions to problems. This
was exciting and has given me a renewed sense of energy for my career.
Today, I have outcomes that are aligned with my decisions in all areas of my
life. For my work that translates into excellent relations with clients,
co-workers and management.  My meeting time is spent effectively developing
options, being creative in advancement of key files. Added bonus, a recent
promotion that I previously did not believe was attainable. I can accomplish
more, better and in less time. I no longer felt fatigued by the idea of
coming into the office. To the contrary, I feel energized and excited about
the endless possibilities that exist for my career-how ever I choose it to
be! SM
